Ella Tucker is a 22 year old figuring out how who she is and what she stands for in a society that's more complicated than ever. While outwardly "miss perfect" seems to have it all figured out. Pretty, smart, and polite, Ella seems a paragon of a young woman to those who meet her. But under the surface lies a distraught and lonely mind distressed by all the wrong she sees in the world and trying to find her place in it. She might languish away if not for the people in her life keeping her grounded: her fiery best friend Julieta, her rocker father Shawn, and Mapleville's librarian Mister Sapienza. I conceptualized this character as a vehicle for exploring themes relevant to life in contemporary society, for young adults in particular.
